Canyon GBS Welcomes Dr. Karla Fisher as Senior Vice President of Education Strategy

Mesa, AZ – Canyon GBS (https://canyongbs.com), a technology company dedicated to revolutionizing student services in higher education, announces the appointment of Dr. Karla Fisher as Senior Vice President of Education Strategy. With more than 25 years of unparalleled experience in higher education and technology, Dr. Fisher will play a pivotal role in advancing Canyon GBS’s mission to transform student services through equitable access to cutting-edge technology and tools.

Dr. Fisher brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to Canyon GBS. Most recently, she served as the Chief Industry Advisor for Education at Qualtrics, where she championed the integration of experience management technology to foster student engagement and success. Other leadership roles include Provost at Maricopa Community College District, Chancellor at Arkansas State University-Beebe, Vice President of Academics and Interim President at Butler Community College, and Director of Institutional Marketing at Salt Lake Community College.

Dr. Fisher holds a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, as well as an M.A. in Communication and a B.A. in English from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas. Actively involved in the educational quality movement at the state and national levels, Dr. Fisher served as a Higher Learning Commission peer reviewer for more than a decade. Dr. Fisher was named the 2015 National Council of Instructional Administrators (NCIA) Chief Academic Officer of the Year and was a 2017-2018 Aspen Presidential Fellow.
